Guestbook for John Peter Gibeau Showing 1 - 22 of 22 entries.

Kay,
I am the person that formed the Tex Hill Wing in 2005 and after several years
we moved the Wing to Hondo. Soon after, I selected John to be the new Wing Leader in Hondo. That proved to be a good decision.
John worked so hard to make it better and had some very good years.
He always had a big smile and arrived for each meeting with a box of donuts.
I was sorry to hear of his passing and hope you are handling all as the good wife you are and were.
I plan to attend the Service.

I was honored to work for Colonel Gibeau when he led the 321st Missile Wing at Grand Forks AFB, ND. He was a good man who worked hard to help ensure the safety and security of the Nation. May God grant him eternal rest and peace.

Dear Kay,
So sorry for your loss. My memories of John were mostly when we were growing up in North Adams MA. l last saw him at my Brothers 35th wedding Anniversary and was so happy to see him. And when Facebook came along was happy to be able to correspond and loved all the quotes He would send. His love for the Air Force and his Country was well known as well as His love for Family and His Faith. I will keep you both in my prayers always.

Well John, Buddy Holly's favorite fan is now with him in person. Have a beer for me with Cal, Rob, and now Tom. Thanks for being a great boss and a great mentor and friend. I enjoyed our FB debates and our mutual love of vintage aircraft! Blessings and comfort to Kay.

I know John is with the angels now so in time, the sense of loss will weaken. But here on earth, we lost a great man and I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful, beloved Kay as I will never forget how he looked at her when they were together.

I served with Johh almost 40 years ago in the 4th ACCS. We only recently reconnected on Facebook. Even though our careers never crossed again I know he was true AF blue. We will just have to meet again in heaven.

Kay and family, my wife and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. John was a remarkable man with so much passion for his Lord, through ACTS at our church and other parishes and service to the Church as a whole, for you - his wife, his service to our country, his strength to fight his devil-cancer and winning by not giving up the battle in the darkest of times and to his beloved CAF. John was always there for whoever called for help or assistance knowing his Lord and Savior would be there for him to carry on. John touched so many people and changed their lives for the good. I know I and others will carry on his good works today and in the future. Godspeed John on your journey, We will miss you and love you always.

The kindest, gentlest, toughest rascal I ever knew. Always smiling. Always upbeat. So glad I had the privilege to know him. We lost a gem.

My condolences to you and your family. Though I did not know John very well, I have heard good things about him. We appreciate his service to his country and regret the side affects of agent orange. May The Lord Jesus comfort you in your time of mourning and give you grace and peace. Yours, Tom Reed, Post Commander 128 Hondo.
